Official statement from Click regarding reports of cyber fraud

Posts citing data from the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan are circulating on social media, describing cases of cyber fraud in which Click is mentioned.

We understand users’ concerns and would like to clarify the context of this information. The mention of Click in fraud reports does not mean that the app or the company’s infrastructure has been compromised. A significant proportion of such cases involve social engineering, where criminals mislead people into making transfers themselves or granting access to their devices.

Click serves more than 25 million users and processes a substantial volume of transactions every day. Therefore, when assessing security, the company considers not only the absolute number of reports but also the ratio of incidents to the overall transaction volume. According to Click’s internal data, this indicator shows a sustained positive trend thanks to the work of the Internal Control Department, the anti-fraud system and other protection tools.

The system uses multi-layered anti-fraud solutions, including in-house technologies and tools provided by partners, which help detect and stop fraudulent activity before it causes harm to users. The company continually improves these mechanisms to address new fraud scenarios.

Click also goes beyond fraud prevention and takes responsibility if a user falls victim to fraud. If a review confirms that fraud has occurred, the company returns the funds. Reports can be submitted through the “Report Fraud (https://promo.click.uz/2HUz/9dflvyu8)” mini-app in Click SuperApp.

“We carefully examine every case of fraud and analyse technical data to establish the circumstances of the transaction. Our task is to improve technological protection while helping users recognise attempts at deception before they share their data or make a transfer,” says Elyor Primov, Director of Click’s Internal Control Department.

Please remember: Click employees never ask for SMS codes or PIN codes and never suggest transferring money for “safekeeping”. If someone rushes you, threatens you with the loss of your funds or asks you to take unfamiliar actions, end the conversation and contact the organisation yourself using its official phone number.

If you have experienced fraud, submit a report through the “Report Fraud” mini-app in Click SuperApp. If you have already disclosed confidential information or made a suspicious transfer, also contact the bank that issued your card and Click customer support on +998 71 231 08 80.
